Our aim is to take bell ringing to our five local primary schools to encourage the years 5 and 6 to learn how to ring hand chimes, hand bells, mini rings of bells and tower bells and so involve them, their parents and school in the mission of the church and grow our congregations.

Learning to Ring at Bradoc and St Winnow

Why are you taught to learn at Bradoc?

As we can see from the table above the tenor at Bradoc is almost exactly half the weight of the tenor at St Winnow and they also have a much shorter rope length up to the bells.  This means that it is much easier to ring the Bradoc bells when you are first learning and therefore you will learn much more quickly.

We were very grateful to the PCC of St Winnow and the Deanery Synod Education Fund to receive funding for our schools project, which supports our Doing Church Differently scheme aimed at growing our two churches, the others churches in our cluster and those across the Diocese.
